Access to the European market, zero income tax, freedom of movement across the Schengen Area

The Monaco residence permit gives foreign investors access to an elite European principality with zero income tax and a high quality of life. The investor demonstrates financial independence by depositing a minimum of €500,000 with a bank and purchasing or renting property in Monaco. Resident cards are issued in phases — a temporary card for one year, an ordinary card for three years, and a privileged card for ten years. Monaco is not an EU member, but residents of the principality enjoy free access to the Schengen Area.
After three years of temporary status the resident receives an ordinary card for three years, and after ten years a privileged card for ten years with unlimited renewal.
The legislation does not specify a minimum number of days of physical presence required to maintain status.
Account opening at Monaco banks with personalised service and confidentiality, euro-denominated transactions, and asset structuring under European law.
No income tax for residents, and no taxes on capital gains or property.
The bank deposit remains the investor’s own capital rather than a non-refundable fee, and the property is a retained asset.
Zero income tax on income earned outside the principality, with the option to structure companies after obtaining residency.
Exclusive private banking and personalised asset management, with no tax on capital gains or dividends.
International schools, top European universities and clinics, and one of the lowest crime rates in Europe.
Thirty minutes from Nice airport — convenient for business travel across Europe.
A minimum of €500,000 is deposited, with the origin of funds confirmed. The deposit remains the investor’s property throughout the period of residency.
The investor then purchases or rents property in Monaco; both residential and commercial properties are permitted.
